Your images

Every tool on Pixel Dock runs in your browser. When you open an image to compress, convert, resize, crop, rotate, or turn into a PDF, that image is read and processed by code running on your own device. It is never sent to a server, because there is no server that receives it. We never see, store, transmit, or have any access to the images you work with. When you close or reload the tab, they're gone from memory.

No account, no analytics

There is no sign-up, login, or account of any kind. We do not use Google Analytics or any comparable analytics or tracking service, and we do not set tracking cookies of our own. We do not build profiles of visitors or sell, rent, or share any personal data — we don't collect it in the first place.

Data stored on your device

The site saves one small preference in your browser's local storage: whether you chose light or dark mode. It stays on your device, is readable only by this site, and is never transmitted. You can clear it at any time through your browser's settings. Nothing else is stored locally.

Third-party services

Loading the site involves a small number of outside services, none of which receive your images:

• Google Fonts. The site's typefaces are loaded from Google's font servers (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). To deliver a font, your browser necessarily reveals your IP address and which page requested it, as with any web resource. Google states it does not use Google Fonts requests to build advertising profiles. See Google's privacy policy for details.
• jsDelivr (HEIC converter only). The HEIC-to-JPG tool downloads its decoding library from the jsDelivr open-source CDN the first time you use it. This is a download of the software itself; your photo is not involved and stays on your device.
• Web hosting. Like all websites, the pages are served by a web host, which may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses and requested pages) for security and operational purposes.

Advertising

Pixel Dock does not currently display advertising. We intend to add advertising through Google AdSense to help cover the cost of running the site. This section describes what that will involve, and this policy will be updated with a new date when ads become active.

When AdSense is enabled: Google and its ad partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and in some cases to personalise them based on your prior visits to this and other websites. This is standard for ad-supported sites. At that point we will present a consent notice where required, and you will be able to manage or decline personalised advertising. Google's use of advertising cookies is governed by Google's own policies; you can review and control Google's ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com, and learn more at Google's advertising policy page. Even with ads enabled, your images will still be processed only in your browser and never uploaded.

Your rights

Because we don't collect personal data, there is normally nothing of yours for us to access, correct, or delete. Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR (Europe/UK) and CCPA (California) may give you rights over personal data a business holds about you. If you believe we hold any personal data about you, or you have a question about how this site handles data, contact us and we'll respond.

Children

Pixel Dock is a general-purpose set of tools and is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes — most notably when advertising is added. When we do, we'll revise the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be reflected here rather than announced individually, since we have no mailing list or accounts to notify.
